A Medical Lake kid

Owen Pitts is from Medical Lake, Washington. It’s the kind of town where the gym is a gathering place, the bleachers know your name, and a good season is something the whole community feels.

Basketball is Owen’s game. The early practices. The bus rides. The sound of a ball before anyone else is in the gym. The kind of love that turns an empty court into the best part of the day.

The thing every player wants

The name says the thing every player wants when the clock is running: four more minutes. One more possession. One more season.

Play 4 More is built around that feeling — and around the idea that more kids should get to feel it.

Why a fund

The costs of playing add up. League fees. Uniforms. Shoes. Equipment. A bus. A tournament entry. A gym rental. They arrive a few at a time, and for some families they become the reason a kid stops playing.

We can’t promise every kid a championship. We can help with the fee, the ride, the uniform, and the practice that keeps them showing up.

Play 4 More is inspired by Owen’s story, but it isn’t only about one kid. It’s about the next kid who needs a reason to stay in the game.

Help us write the rest

The full story is being written with Owen’s family, in their words. This page will grow as they share it.

If you have a memory, a photo, or a scorebook from a game that mattered, send it our way. We’d love to read it.
